Works involved the removal of existing airside fencing, public lighting and cabling and replacing same with new cranked V mesh fencing & new public lighting.

On commencement of works , a safe access route with pedestrian barriers was erected for the public to access the airport during construction and a secure temporary fence erected airside to prevent unauthorized access during the works.

New insitu kerbing, 4way ducting ( to service lighting and new mechanized entrance gate ), mini pillars, SDB boards & JB4A manholes were installed along the full entrance road for 760m. Following the erection of the new airside security fence, a new macadam footpath and associated drainage works were completed.

The final piece was the erection and electrification of Weston Airports new mechanized entrance gate.
