Design, fabrication and installation of a 16 modular unit residential estate to for use as emergency housing. The works involved the full site development works of a green field site, installation of the buildings and completion of estate.
The works involved 935m2 of Modular buildings in a combination of 2 Bed & 3 Bed Units, Management Building and storage shed.
The site development works involved site clearance, diversion of existing services, installation of new services, construction of insulation RC pad foundations for the buildings and completion works including footpaths, roads, carpark, bicycle shelters, bicycle racks, children’s playground and soft landscaping.
The buildings were light weight steel frame structures that came in prefinished sections and assembled on site. the external walls arrived prefinished and were bolted together on site. the roof trusses were assembled fitted and finished on site. The units were assembled and watertight in 1 day.
The internal completions involved construction of metal stud partition walls, insulation, drylining and interior completions including painting, tiling, Loose & fitted furniture, interior carpentry, flooring and white goods.
