Carlow Accessibility & Civils Works

This accessibility works contract was to improve access between platforms for passengers at Carlow Train Station. The works involved construction of two precast liftshafts, installation of a precast pedestrian bridge between the liftshafts and precast stairs from platform to bridge level. In order to accommodate the new structure, the existing platforms required widening.

The works also included all associated drainage, ducting, surfacing, services infrastructure & UTX crossings, fencing and supply, installation & commissioning of lift cars.

The works also involved architecturally designed structural steel canopy & balustrades incorporating Valcaucent panels , stainless steel panels and handrails were also installed.
